We’ve joined Flagstaff Crafted — and it feels like home

I was born and raised in Killam. A wonderful town of just over 900 people, a thriving Main Street (where I worked at the law firm for many years), home of the Killam Kougars, an indoor pool where we spent countless days swimming and cooling off, the best drugstore and thrift store that I always have to stop at when I'm in town — and so many other great local businesses. It truly is an amazing town and it always feels like home.

It's also where Toaster Coaster™ started — with a baking tray under my mom's toaster.

I call Camrose home now, but Flagstaff County is where this product was born — in a kitchen in a small Alberta town, solving a problem so normal that nobody had bothered to solve it properly yet.

Flagstaff Crafted is a directory of makers, growers, and creators rooted in Flagstaff County, Alberta. It's a place that celebrates the things being built carefully, with intention, right here in this part of the province.

Toaster Coaster™ is officially on it. And honestly? It feels like coming home.

We are so grateful to be included. Flagstaff Crafted exists to shine a light on the people building something real in this county — and we don't take lightly that we get to be part of that. It's the kind of community support that makes starting something from scratch feel a lot less terrifying.

We're a small brand — powder-coated steel crumb catchers, two colours, ships anywhere in Canada. We don't have a big team or a warehouse or a fancy backstory. We have a product that works, a county that shaped us, and a genuine belief that the things sitting on your counter every single day deserve to be well-made.
